Job Summary:
The Software Engineer should be passionate about technology, given it needs to be learning and improving our systems and platforms daily.
Considering we are working in distributed teams between United States and Chile to perform research and development on how to improve our analytical assets in USA, Canada and recently Australia, the Software Engineer should have an intermediate/high English language level.
Responsibilities:
Active participation on development methodology.
Develop software code per the requirements using Big Data technologies.
Develop automated tests and ensure that the delivered code meets the requirements.
Write technical documentation.
Apply and define good practices, such as, pattern designs and clean code when implementing solutions using Big Data technologies.
Share technical knowledge with teammates.
Continuously improve technical skills participating in activities.
Requisitos:
Completed Engineering university degree in IT.
1-3 years of experience on similar role as a back-end developer, working with Java and /or Python (required).
Experience / Knowledge in Machine Learning techniques (required).
Experience with Object Oriented Programming and functional programming.
Knowledge on Spark (highly desirable).
Knowledge on Scala (highly desirable).
Strong programming skills.
Strong analytical skills to solve problems.
Intermediate English communication skills (required).
Fast learner, self-motivated, proactive and passionate about technology.
Experience working with agile methodology.
Effective team player.
